Mumbai

Mumbai is a wonderful city and SUCH a refresher from the boring world of Delhi. It's very modern and clean by Indian standards, with high-rises that Delhi lacks and things to do besides go to markets which gets old. Drivers actually obey traffic signals and somewhat lanes, taxis use the meter without having you having to ask (Delhi cabbies are jerks about this), there is little air pollution, an amazing fun energy, an ocean with relatively clean beaches and it's generally safer.

Yet, it's still India and home to the largest slum in Asia, which is where Slumdog Millionaire was set. It's very strange to know that I would have been born and raised in Mumbai if my parents had not moved to the U.S....

No, this is not just another high-rise. This is a very high high-rise with makeshit scaffolding...as in uneven wooden beams tied together with rope, all the way up!
